Bob Schieffer of CBS' Face the Nation and that network's Evening News made headlines last night when he flat-out called Donald Trump a racist.
At issue? Trump's questioning of President Obama's birth certificate and later his academic record, criticisms Schieffer says have racist undertones.
The Donald was far from pleased with Bob's assessment.
Moments ago, he told TMZ: "That is a terrible statement for a newscaster to make. I am the last person that such a thing should be said about."
Bob's scathing statement against Trump came last night in response to Trump's insinuation that Obama may not have had the grades to get into Harvard.
Schieffer said, "That's code for saying he got into law school because he's black. This is an ugly strain of racism that's running through this whole thing."
Asked if he was implying Obama got into Harvard via affirmative action, Trump said: "Affirmative action is out there. It's a program that is available."
"I have no idea whether it applies in this case. I'm not suggesting anything. Grades are the least important aspect of being president. It's not a big subject."
Trump insists he's not racist and wouldn't say if he supports or opposes affirmative action. But he's clearly trying to douse some of the flames he ignited.
What do you think? Is Trump racist?

CBS' Bob Schieffer has come out and said what many in the news industry are probably thinking but are understandably hesitant to go on record about:
That Donald Trump's incessant criticism of President Obama is racially motivated.
The host of Face the Nation, visibly upset, called Trump a racist last night on the CBS Evening News, and not just for Trump's Obama birth certificate crusade.
Schieffer was also talking about Trump's suggestion that Obama is not Ivy League material and may not have had the grades to get into Harvard Law School.
The context of Trump's comments was Obama not releasing his transcripts.
"That's just code for saying he got into law school because he's black," Schieffer said. "This is an ugly strain of racism that's running through this whole thing."
Earlier in the week, Trump said, "I have friends who have smart sons with great marks, great boards, great everything and they can't get into Harvard."
"We don't know a thing about this guy. There are a lot of unanswered questions."
While it's fine to bash Obama - heck, it's your right! - that doesn't mean Trump's not out of line. What do you think? Are Trump's criticisms racist?

Despite losing their appeal, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss are STILL going after Mark Zuckerberg, saying he and Facebook ruthlessly defrauded them.
The Winkelevoss twins are not giving up on their claims against Zuckerberg and the social networking site, which they claim was there idea originally.
They point to two damning IMs as proof that Zuck f*%ked them.
Zuckerberg and Facebook settled with the genetic freaks for $65 million, but they've been trying to undo the deal, on grounds of fraud, to obtain more.
The Winklevii want a federal appellate court to reexamine their settlement with Facebook, acknowledge that the IMs are proof of fraud and nullify it.
Tyler and Cameron claim Facebook intentionally withheld messages sent by Mark saying, "Yeah, I'm going to f**k them ... probably in the [ear]."
In another IM, Zuckerberg allegedly told a friend:
"But [the twins] made a mistake haha. They asked me to make it for them. So I'm like delaying it so it won't be ready until after the facebook comes out."
Maybe The Social Network was more accurate than we thought ...
